Product Description Racing heart. Nausea. Trembling. These are just the physical symptoms of anxiety. Add to that panic, paralyzing fear, and self-doubt and a child is consumed with worry. With the proper care and treatment, a child with anxiety disorders can thrive. This book presents a balanced approach to treatment--from traditional to non-traditional drug and behavioral therapies to relaxation tricks and meditation. Additionally, this helpful guide helps parents determine the causes of their child's anxiety, decide whether medical treatment is necessary, talk with their children about anxiety, find the right counselor, and consult with teachers and school officials. With this guide, parents will have all the resources, tools, and information they need to help their child enjoy a happy, healthy, and well-adjusted childhood!

| Customer Reviews: Very Useful for Parents and Teachers December 6, 2008 A. Davidson (Summerfield, NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I teach young children and this book has been very useful to me. Our children appear to be under more stress these days than ever and some children will develop this disorder. Being able to spot some of the symptoms and alert parents to what I see has helped tremendously. I found the book well written with many helpful charts.
